Life at Breage House
Breage House is a spacious home, specifically developed to provide care for people with high dependency or complex needs. The home has large communal areas, a multi-sensory room, lifts and ensuite bedrooms. Outside the gardens are mature with a wild flower area and quiet places to sit and relax.

Activities & Hobbies
The residents of Breage House are a large part of the local community, taking part in church activities and making use of the village shop and pub. Each year the residents and team at Breage stage the ‘B Festival’ where everyone has a chance to put on a show! Breage offers a great variety of activities both in the home and in the community and all residents have a real say in what they would like to do.

Food & Nutrition
The home’s kitchen prepares a varied menu sourced from local ingredients wherever possible. All meals are freshly prepared and cooked with a choice of courses and there is nutritional guidance and support. Residents have access to the kitchen to make themselves snacks and drinks.

I like living here, I like my manager, the people I live with and the staff. I like it because my friends and family can visit and I can go out when I want.

Most of my life I have gravitated towards individuals with Learning Disabilities, From a young age I was encouraged to support and help others by my parents and I’m passionate about the people we work with. They always amaze me with their ability to deal with the most difficult things in life and still have a smile for those who support them. I started working at Breage House when it first opened in October 2007, During my time with Swallowcourt I have worked in several of the Learning Disability settings, gaining knowledge and experiences along the way. I returned to Breage House in October 2017 as Deputy Manager, I had forgotten how much I loved working at Breage. In February 2018 I became Registered Manager. Now I get to share my passion with the rest of the team.
